In the last couple of years there has been a real boom of hostels in Croatian capital. Some of them are awesome, some are not so cool, so we decided to help you with your choice.
The best hostel in Zagreb as awarded by tripadvisor. Swanky Mint is a renovated dry cleaning and textile-dye factory dating back to the late 19th century. Combining the industrial machinery that littered the site with new technology, the Mint has created a comfortable eco-friendly atmosphere that makes it a very special place to visit.
With a gorgeous sun terrace overlooking a beautiful garden (and a pool!), Swanky Mint is the ideal place to stay in Croatia’s capital for those who are looking for a good time bonding with other guests and locals until late in the night. You’ll meet locals and other guests, enjoy some good live music and DJ sets. If you are a big sleeper, find some of the others from the list.
If we would have to describe this hostel in one word, it would be – a hotel. It’s one of the newest hostels in the city with mostly private ensuite rooms giving you a 4 star hotel comfort. Located in the very city center less then 5 minutes away from the main square, it makes a perfect choice for those who are looking for a silent and cozy stay in Zagreb.
It consists of 14 very originally decorated rooms, each personalized with a different style of it’s own – Romantic, Green, Stripey, Happy etc.
MSH is a hostel with the best location in Zagreb, just a few meters away from the main square. We would call it a perfect place to begin your journey in the city. Even though all the major attractions are within the walking distance, MSH offers rent-a-bike service for its guests, as well as a special room for hanging out with 2 LED TVs and a PlayStation 4 console.
The MSH staff is eagerly waiting to welcome you with a true croatian drink – rakija ;)
Only a five minutes walk from the main city square, Bureau is a newly-renovated, modern designed hostel that you will really enjoy staying in. Located in a quiet and peaceful yard isolated from all the traffic noise, it makes a perfect bed&breakfast spot for those who will spend most of their time exploring the city.
Although, we have to say that there is also a spacious living room equipped with a foosball and a pool table, PlayStation console and a TV so you won’t get bored even if raining. If you are looking for good value for money, Bureau would definitely be a great pick.
All of these hostels are a great place to stay and no matter which one you choose, prepare to stay amazed by both – the hostel and the city of Zagreb.
Hope to see you soon! ;)
